Free Account Audit|NDA Covered|Yours to Keep

A free audit that's actually worth your time.

Most free audits are a sales pitch in disguise. This one is a proper diagnosis. A senior PPC specialist with 10+ years' experience goes through your account by hand: keyword coverage, match types, bidding, tracking, campaign mix, ad copy, market by market. No AI checklist. You get real numbers and a findings deck that's yours to keep, whether you work with us or not.

Read-only access. We never change anything in your account.

You've probably been offered a "free audit" before. This isn't that.

Not an automated report.

No tool-generated PDF. No AI checklist. No traffic-light scorecard spat out in five minutes. A senior specialist spends real hours inside your account, forming a view no script could.

Not a thinly disguised pitch.

What you get is a findings deck about your account: what's working, what's broken, what it's costing you. If your account is genuinely well run, we'll say so and leave it there.

Not junior work in a senior wrapper.

The person who audits your account has 10+ years of hands-on PPC experience. It's the same person who presents the findings, and who'd run the account if we ended up working together.

The scope

Six areas. Every one examined with your actual data.

These are the areas we examine in every audit. If there's something else you'd like us to look at closely, just tell us and we'll build it in.

✓

01

The Fundamentals

Keyword coverage, match types and quality score. In one recent account, phrase-match traffic cost 3× more per booking than exact. Nobody had spotted it.

✓

02

Bidding Efficiency

ROAS and CPA by country, region and device. These usually vary more than people expect, so rebalancing spend often wins more volume for the same budget.

✓

03

Campaign & Channel Mix

How far you lean on brand terms and Performance Max, how much non-brand growth is going unclaimed, and which campaign types you should be running but aren't.

✓

04

Intent & Structure

Whether specific searches reach specific pages, and whether your campaigns hold enough conversion volume for smart bidding to actually learn.

✓

05

Tracking Setup

Conversion sources, value signals, phone tracking, Enhanced Conversions, Consent Mode. The plumbing every optimisation quietly depends on.

✓

06

Ad Copy & Localisation

Ad-by-ad relevance and calls to action, plus how search language shifts between markets. What converts in the US rarely converts the same way in the UK.

From recent audits

Real findings, from real accounts.

Four things we found across four recent audits. None had been flagged by the client's previous agency or in-house team.

75%
of conversions came from brand searches, leaving nearly all the real growth in non-brand and unworked
Tour operator
3×
more return from desktop than mobile, with spend split evenly. Rebalancing alone buys more bookings
Food tour brand
9 of 15
locations weren't linked to Google Ads, so they were invisible as map pins and missing from "near me" searches
Multi-location brand
+38%
jump in cost per lead. We traced it to three causes the previous agency never found
Luxury hotels

Every audit ends with an uplift calculation. It's a deliberately conservative model of what your account could return once the issues are fixed, and whether the gain would cover our fee. On the most recent one, it covered it 3.5 times over.

The process

From first call to findings in four steps.

Step 1

Intro call

Thirty minutes with the senior specialist who'd run your audit. We learn your goals, your margins, and what "good" looks like for your business.

Step 2

NDA & access

We sign a mutual NDA, then you grant read-only access. We can see everything and change nothing. Your account stays exactly as it is.

Step 3

The deep dive

Over the next two weeks, our specialist works through all six areas with your real data, scoring the account and finding where the upside sits.

Step 4

Findings call

We walk you through the deck live: findings, evidence, the uplift calculation, and what we'd fix first. The deck is yours to keep either way.

What we need from you

Four things. None of them painful.

Two quick access grants, plus a couple of optional extras if you have them handy. Nothing takes more than a few minutes, and we'll send simple step-by-step instructions.

1

Read-only access to Google Ads

Granted to our manager account from your account settings. You approve it, and you can revoke it any time. If you run Microsoft Ads too, the same read-only access there.

2

Viewer access to GA4 (optional)

Useful for checking what your conversion data is actually telling Google: where conversions come from, what gets lost, and whether Ads and Analytics agree.

3

A little account context (optional)

Anything worth knowing before we start. Which conversions matter most, or a heads-up like "tracking broke in June" or "our CPCs are climbing and we don't know why." A couple of lines is plenty.

4

About 90 minutes of your time, total

Thirty minutes for the intro call and an hour for the findings call. Everything in between happens on our side.

What you get

A findings deck built on your numbers.

Typically 30+ slides of analysis, evidence and recommendations. We present it live, then hand it over. Inside it:

  • An account scorecard across six dimensions, so you can see strengths and weaknesses at a glance
  • A plain-English executive summary: the five things that matter most, each with the evidence behind it
  • Match-type economics: what exact, phrase and broad traffic actually cost and return, and where control is being given away
  • Token analysis of your search terms: the words quietly draining budget, and the ones outperforming that deserve more of it
  • ROAS by country, region and device: the imbalances that mean the same budget could be buying significantly more
  • Brand versus non-brand economics: how much performance leans on people who already know you, and where genuine new-customer growth sits
  • Intent mapping: where searches for specific tours, products or places land on generic pages, and what that costs you in conversion rate
  • Root-cause analysis of cost changes. If your CPA or cost per lead has crept up, we find the root causes. We don't guess. In one recent audit that turned out to be three separate causes stacking up
  • An uplift calculation: a conservative model of achievable return, and whether the gain covers the fee
  • A prioritised action plan: what we'd fix first and why, usable by any team, including your current one

After the audit

What happens when the findings get fixed.

Daniel Molnar

"We came in skeptical. After years of refining our search marketing strategy, we weren't sure there was much more to gain. But the results spoke for themselves - Search Machines increased revenue by 40% in just a month. It's rare to see this level of impact so quickly."

Daniel MolnarCMO, Szallas Group
"

"Other agencies told a good story but didn't grow our account. Search Machines delivered impact from day one. Since partnering, conversions are up 94% and CPA is down 45%."

Jake Smith Jake SmithCEO, Absolute Reg
"

"Our previous in-house and agency-based efforts fell flat, but Search Machines delivered results from week one with an ROI that exceeded expectations, increasing our application rates by 53% in 8 weeks."

Amit Nisenbaum Amit NisenbaumCEO, Ahoy
"

"We thought our Google Ads performance was already strong, but Search Machines and ATLAS showed us there was more potential. Conversions in France are up 44%, costs are down, and ROAS improved, all without raising our budget."

Before you request one

Questions we get about the audit.

Is it genuinely free? What's the catch?
It's free, and the findings deck is yours to keep whether you ever speak to us again. The honest commercial logic: in nine out of ten accounts we review, we find enough missed revenue that some of those brands choose to work with us. That's the whole model. If your account is one of the well-run ones, we'll say so on the findings call.
Who actually does the audit?
A senior PPC specialist with 10+ years of hands-on experience. It's the same person you meet on the intro call, the same person who presents the findings, and the same person who'd oversee your account if we ended up working together. Full transparency, no outsourcing, and no AI-generated recommendations dressed up as analysis.
What access do you need, and is it safe?
Read-only access to Google Ads (and Microsoft Ads if you run it) and viewer access to GA4. Read-only means exactly that: we can see everything and change nothing. Access is granted from your side, covered by a mutual NDA, and you can revoke it any time in a couple of clicks.
How long does it take?
Usually about two weeks from access to findings call, give or take with the size of the account. Your own time commitment is roughly 90 minutes: a 30-minute intro call and an hour for the findings presentation.
Will you just tell us to spend more?
No. The audit is framed around performance at your current spend: structure, coverage, bidding, tracking. The uplift calculation models what's achievable at a flat budget. If more spend genuinely makes sense, the data behind that recommendation goes in the deck, and the decision stays yours.
Can we give the findings to our current agency to fix?
Yes, and some brands do exactly that. The recommendations are written to be actionable by any competent team. If your agency implements them well, your account gets better and everyone wins. If they can't or won't, that tells you something too.

Find out what your account is really doing.

Start with a 30-minute call with the senior specialist who'd run your audit. We'll cover:

  • Where your account is today and what you're trying to improve
  • Whether an audit is actually worth doing for your account
  • Exactly what access we'd need and how the NDA works
  • Timelines, and what the findings call looks like

If your account is well run, we'll tell you that and leave you to it. That's a genuine possible outcome.
